i hate you

christinetofu:

I hate it when I’m the only one who continues to contribute to a relationship. Give 80% get 20%. Maybe I should just stop caring too. I should just ignore his phone calls and text messages until the last minute and never tell him anything. Maybe I could have some guys on the side too and try looking at other people. Or maybe I’m just asking for too much…

Holding hands may seem like an innocent gesture, but they show more than a simple interlocking of fingers. Your hands are one of the most essential parts of your body: you build with them, feed with them, hold with them, touch with them, fight with them; they are the tools of the human body. To take a hold of another’s hand is to break from living individually. It is to link yourself to another being, to momentarily entwine your life with another’s, to promise, for a moment, that you need not face the world alone. More simple, more aesthetically naive than other forms of affection, i.e kissing, hugging, sexing.., the act of holding hands is often trivialized in its true implications.

Your mouth
could do
brutal
things
to my

but you’re a
risk
I’m willing to
fuck
because I have a feeling
your hands
would do
beautiful
things
to my
thighs.

She’s not perfect - you aren’t either, and the two of you may never be perfect together. But if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she will give you a part of her that she knows you can break - her heart. So don’t hurt her, don’t change her, don’t analyze and don’t expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she’s not there.
